Jaycees Manila and Architect Group Donated Isolation Tent to Baliwag

Baliwag, Bulacan – Jaycees Manila President John Bautista and officers of the elite club graced the opening of the Baliwag Ligtas Covid19 Isolation Tent last May 1, 2020 which coincided with Labor Day or in Baliwag – Frontliner’s Day as declared by Mayor Ferdie Estrella in honor of the magnanimous contributions of all our frontliners during this time of pandemic. The young professionals were joined by Engr. Felipe Agustin who represented the United Architects of the Philippines headed by Arch. William Ti who is also the main proponent of the said design which was earlier approved by the Department of Health. The Philippine Airforce provided the manpower for all the sixty-six tents constructed to date.

The inauguration and blessing ceremony was lead Fr. Franz Dizon and Fr. Gary Toribio both from the St. Augustine Parish. During the luncheon for partners, Mayor Estrella thanked all those who made this project possible and declared that Baliwagenyos will never forget their generosity.

Meanwhile, Jaycees Manila President John Bautista said: “indeed, there was no doubt our beneficiary must be Baliwag first and foremost, because Mayor Ferdie is not only a classmate but he is like a brother to me. I know that good leaders must be supported so that they can continue serving the constituency to the highest standard possible. Secondly, Jaycees Manila knows that this project is needed most here, as urban areas like Baliwag, have higher risks for covid19.”

To date, Baliwag is operating fifty-five (55) as quarantine areas for arriving OFWS, locally stranded individuals, suspected pui and probable pui.
