The Department of social welfare and development field office 3 conducted a training on community organizing for local social welfare officers held last October 10-12, 2018 at Redd Manor Condotel, City of San Fernando, Pampanga. It was attended by more than 50 social workers coming from different local government units in Central Luzon which included our representative ( Gerard Tolentino, SWO-III) from the MSWDO of Baliwag
This seminar aimed to give the participants a refresher about community organizing which is one of the methods of social work practice same with casework and groupwork. A total of ten (10) modules were discussed. Pre and post test were administered along with several workshops.
Ms. Desiree B. Anonat, RSW Doctor of Philosophy in Applied Cosmetic Anthropology and Ms. Elena C. Tesoro, RSW Doctor in Social Development were the resource speakers of the free training which gave the participants a CPD units that they can use in renewing their PRC license.
