Baliwag, Bulacan. By virtue of an order from Mayor Ferdinand V. Estrella, a special team of the Joint Inspection / Assessment Team (JIAT) headed by BPLO Chief Jose Nilo C. Fernando closed twelve (12) night clubs/restobars last evening of August 16, 2018 for failure to secure the necessary permits.

The business establishments closed by the special team are the following:

  1. Redge’s Barkadahan Restobar (DRT Highway, Bagong Nayon);
  2. Silence Speak Restobar & Resto (DRT Highway, Pinagbarilan);
  3. Minute Stop Videoke & Resto (DRT Highway, Pinagbarilan);
  4. Endless Videoke (DRT Highway, Pinagbarilan);
  5. Jayson Restobar (DRT Highway, Pinagbarilan);

  12. Tamara Restobar (DRT Highway, Tangos).

Mr. Fernando, the newly-designated BPLO Head accepted the challenge to lead the special team in the enforcement of the closure orders. “Walang itinatangi, ipatutupad ang utos ng pagsasara ng mga beerhouse sa ating bayan na nag-ooperate ng walang kaukulang permit. Pagkakataon ito para maisakatuparan ang ganap na pag-reregulate ng mga negosyo sa bayan ng Baliwag, lalo na ang mga beer houses at mga establisyimentong tulad nito“, the BPLO Chief firmly expressed.

According to Municipal Administrator Enrique V. Tagle, the barangay local chief executives of Brgy. Pinagbarilan and Brgy. Tarcan commend this action initiated by the local government.

The Local Government Code of 1991 empowers the local chief executive to order the closure and removal of illegally constructed establishments for failing to secure the necessary permits. END
