PNP Baliwag P/Supt. Chief Froilan Uy Ends Tour of Duty after less than Two Years

Baliwag, Bulacan – After exactly One year eleven months, three weeks and two days PNP Baliwag Chief of Police P/Supt Froilan Uy has announced the end of his tour of duty.

Col. Froilan Uy started his stint in Baliwag on the front page literally, when PNP Baliwag Forces intercepted about ten kilos of metamphetamine hydrochloride or shabu from Operatives of the PNP NCRPO after suspicions from intelligence report that a group part of a large drug syndicate will deliver packages containing large kilos of shabu.Police TaskForce Probing NCRPO Men

Amidst, President Duterte’s war against drugs, the confiscation and the aggressive arrests resulted to positive commendation from the directorate. Baliwag PNP was recognized as Best Municipal Police Station by the PNP Regional Office and the PNP Provincial Office.

It was also during Uy’s time when Baliwag through Mayor Ferdie V. Estrella opened the Baliwag Bahay Pagbabago Reformation Center. It is regarded as one of the few local government centers offering genuine rehab program with livelihood packages. It is now under accreditation from DSWD and DOH.

PNP Baliwag has facilitated two drug cleared barangays so far and is working on the third barangay.

In Uy’s time, crime index also fell by more than 50 percent. He was also instrumental in the implementation of the no helmet , no ride policy of the Provincial and Municipal Governments.

Uy was also instrumental in the Baliwag’s successful bid for a Seal of Good Local Governance. Police’s programs are one of the major components of public order and public safety, a major core indicator in the SGLG.

Uy graduated at the Philippine National Police Academy. His replacement was not yet announced.
