Baliwag Municipal Compound – Muncipal Administrator Enrique Tagle on behalf of Mayor Ferdie Estrella, welcomed the tourism officers of the 21 municipalities and 3 cities of the Province of Bulacan. In his welcome address, MA Tagle cited the vital role of tourism officers play in energizing the local economy. He also challenged them to be bold and strategic in crafting tourism programs making sure there is a return of investment of every peso spent for marketing. “We must veer away from the concept of tourism offices as mere organizers of pageant or street dancing competitions. Tourism offices must embrace the new order to propel the local economy hence, tourism offices must measure impact of activities conducted and account for every peso spent.
There is no better person to welcome and cheer a visitor but tourism officers themselves. Kaya hindi ko alam kung mabibigyan ko kayo ng mas hihigit pang saya at galing pagpapakilala.
Challenging time for Bulacan at your helm but I am sure, all of you, will beat if not surpass any obstacle that will prevent people to continue to stagnate.
