17th Baliwag Management Committee Meeting tackled SGLG, GAD 2019 and ISO Audit


Baliwag Municipal Compound – The 17th Management Committee Meeting tackled important issues in governance such as the Gender and Development Plan of 2019; compliance of the local government to the Seal of Good Local Governance and the impending ISO External Audit sometime in May.

The Baliwag Management Committee is composed of department heads and heads of offices and is considered the lead policy-making body that addresses major administrative concerns. It is headed by the Municipal Administrator.

In yesterday’s meeting, presided by Lhan Cruz, Chief of Staff as Municipal Administrator Enrique Tagle attended a brief Sangguniang Bayan call at Vice Mayor Cris Clemente’s Office. MA Tagle arrived to regain the role of presider.

Engr. Mency de Leon is on official business and so was not able to tackle the result of the 2017 July to December DPCR. Engr. Romeo Santos was absent in the meeting failing to report the status of infrastracture projects.

The Mancom resolved yesterday to declare a half-day work at the Municipal Government of Baliwag on March 28, Holy Wednesday as most roads will be closed at noon for the Grand Baliwag Lenten Procession.

MA Tagle congratulated the offices for a beyond expectations performance during the Manila Bay Evaluation and during the 2nd round of the Social Welfare Functionality Assessment where the MSWDO received a score of 100% a rare feat for municipalities. The Baliwag Public Employment Services Office was also lauded for the recognition given by the Regional Office as 2017 Top Project Implementer among first class municipalities.
