To provide our employees especially those who will be assigned to work as members of the Oplan Kaluluwa and the All Saint’s Day Local Task Force, work was ordered suspended by Mayor Ferdie Estrella until November 2nd, All Soul’s Day. Traditionally, Baliwagenyos commemorate All Soul’s Day or memorial for the dearly departed. Some families stay up to 3am or 4am.

The extra one day will give the employees time to rest and recharge, bracing for busier times ahead.

Meanwhile, the Local Task force All Saint’s/Soul’s Day are also given time time to honor and pay their respects to their departed loved ones on that day.

Exempted from the suspension of work are those involved in the Oplan Kaluluwa and the All Saint’s Day Local Task Force which consist of PNP, MDRRMO, Health, PACC, BTMO, BFP, GSO, Engineering, MICTO, PIO and MENRO-Sanitation.

Public Market Office and Slaughter House Operations are likewise not covered in the suspension.

According to Municipal Administrator Enrique Tagle: “The Public is advised to conduct their transactions beginning 3rd of November. The day-off is important for all employees to recharge and spend time with their families and friends.”

However, Municipal Judge Pocholo Telan clarified that the court will have regular work on Nov. 2 since there was no advisory of cancellation from the Supreme Court.

National Offices are not covered by the work suspension signed by Mayor Ferdie Estrella.
