The said meeting focused on the enhancement of the Supplemental Feeding and Nutrition Programs provided to the identified one hundred fifty eight (158) malnourished Baliwagenyo Children currently monitored by the Municipal Nutrition Council.
Since it is within the Local Governments advocacy to involve the public in all the local programs and activity, it has been agreed by the council to launch a meal packing event in collaboration with rise against hunger, that aims to bring all Baliwagenyo’s together in helping to raise a sufficient number of pledges for the conduct of the meal packing activity that will be able to feed 158 Malnourished Children for at least 180 days.
The packing activity was tentatively set to kick off on the month of November and is expected to be attended by both private and government organizations including volunteers and students from all the private and public colleges, senior high schools and the like.
More details regarding the said event will be coordinated to the public and various sectors in the community soon.
