Baliwag Municipal celebrates Empoyees’ Day with a Boodle Fight

Employees’ day wouldn’t have been complete without a boodle fight. According to rappler.com, “Boodle fight is a military style of eating, where diners go around a long table filled with food that is served on banana leaves.” Mayor Ferdie Estrella joined the employees as they eat together with bare hands which made the boodle fight more fun and festive.

As a part of the #HappyKaarawanGoals2017, Baliwag Municipal employees held their 2nd year celebration of Employees’ Day last 11:30 am, September 6 at Baliwag Municipal grounds.

Earlier, the event was hosted by Mr. Mike Flores, Officer in Charge, Public Assistance and Complaints Center (PACC). Mr. Flores formally introduced the members of Baliwag Municipal Cooperative Development Council (BMCDC). Sec. Fred Martin, Chairperson of Municipal Development Cooperative Office (MCDO) discussed the processing, upcoming activities and benefits of the said cooperative. Cooperative pledge was led by Mayor Ferdie together with the officers.

The 3-month long wait is finally over as Ms. Esther Cabigao, Human Resource Management Officer, spearheaded the Baliwag Municipal Sportsfest awarding. Plaques, medals and cash prizes were awarded to the Basketball, Volleyball, Badminton and Bowling winners by Mayor Ferdie.

A simple boodle fight truly can make a strong relationship within the employees. An event like this proved how much Baliwag Municipal employees possessed the character of being “magkakatuwang” while working together in order to deliver “Serbisyong May Malasakit” to Baliwageños.
