Developing News: DOST and PAGASA warn LGUs of a brewing La Nina

The Department of Interior and Local Government informed ALL LOCAL GOVERNMENT UNITS that the Department of Science and Technology has announced that the country might experience the so called LA NIÑA PHENOMENON or a period when the sea surface temperature across the equatorial Eastern Central Pacific Ocean will be lower than the normal by 3 to 5 degrees Celsius. During these times a wetter-than-normal conditions will be experienced hence, the occurence of flooding and possible landslides for some mountainous areas. 

The Local Disaster Risk Reduction Council will be convening to activate mitigation strategies and to prepare the public including the agriculture sector to prepare.
